The Phoenixville Community Education Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of its annual awards and scholarships.  These awards were presented at the Phoenixville Area High School Senior Academic Banquet on June 2, 2011 to four PAHS seniors.

Kelly Connors, PCEF Executive Director, presented Hannah Jasienski with the Phoenixville Community Education Foundation’s Service Leadership Award and Scholarship.  This award is given to a graduating senior selected by the high school administration who has exhibited the qualities of a great leader during his or her tenure at PAHS.   It comes with a $2000 scholarship, which Hannah will use towards her education at Slippery Rock University.

Three other PAHS seniors were recognized with Phoenixville Community Education Foundation Academic Scholarships.  These students must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in 2 or more honors classes, be good citizens and active in his or her high school and community.  These students will also receive $2000 scholarships to their college or university.

These students are:

• Amber Keys – attending Cabrini College

• John McInally – attending University of Connecticut

• Casey Kobilka – attending Wake Forest University
