Due to deep budget cuts in educational funding, the Phoenixville Area School District (PASD) School Board adopted a “Pay to Participate” fee to offset some of the costs of the middle school and high school extracurricular activities.  These fees may not be a financial burden to some families, but for other families, it will prevent their child from getting involved at school.

When the Phoenixville Community Education Foundation (PCEF) learned of the Pay to Participate fees, they knew there would be students in need of financial assistance.  To provide this assistance, an Activities Access Fund of $10,000 was established and donated to PASD.  It has been proven time and time again that an involved student is a successful student!  It is PCEF’s goal that all students who are interested in getting involved in extracurricular activities have that opportunity without having to worry about the expense.

For more information about the Pay to Participate Fees, you may visit the PASD website at www.pasd.com.  The Activities Access Fund is being managed by Mr. Tony Palladino, PASD Athletic Director.  Families seeking assistance with the Pay to Participate fees may contact Mr. Palladino at palladinoa@pasd.k12.pa or via phone at 484-927-5134.
