PHOENIXVILLE – The Phoenixville Community Education Foundation (the Ed Foundation) is pleased to announce some changes in leadership as a result of the growth of the organization. The foundation has recently added four new community members to its Board of Trustees. In addition, Kelly Connors, Executive Director is stepping down after a long-tenured career as an invaluable contributor to the foundation’s growth and playing an essential role in its development over the past 10 years.

The four new Board members are Jena Dietrich, John Grasso, Michelle Schamis and Neydary Zambrano.

“With the addition of our newest Trustees, the board now consists of 13 members of the Phoenixville community, each with different professional backgrounds and personal skill sets. Importantly, however, all are passionate about the Ed Foundation’s mission and have a strong commitment to helping broaden the educational opportunities for the students and families living in the PASD,” comments John Lehning, President of the Board of Trustees.

Concurrently, long-time volunteer and current Ed Foundation Executive Director Kelly Connors, has announced her decision to step down from her day-to-day role leading the foundation. She will remain in her position through the end of the school year and help ensure a smooth transition to a new Executive Director. “Kelly has been an incredibly energetic leader, passionate advocate and vital contributor to the phenomenal growth experienced by the Ed Foundation over the past 10 years! She is responsible for forging very strong partnerships with the PASD, local non-profit organizations like the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation and numerous other local businesses and organizations. We are grateful to Kelly for her many contributions to the foundation and wish her all the best in her future goals,” said Joan Cadigan, Vice President of the Board of Trustees.

The Ed Foundation will conduct an exhaustive search process over the next few months to identify a new candidate for the Executive Director position. Phoenixville Community Education Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide resources that enhance the overall educational experience within the Phoenixville Area School District. The Ed Foundation supports programs in all PASD schools, including teacher mini-grants, Pack a Backpack, and literacy programs.
