This year we are pleased to premiere BidPal, a smart-phone based silent auction bidding process. With BidPal, you can bid anytime, from anywhere at the event. (Don’t have a smart-phone? Don’t worry, we have you covered).
You can bid on items, watch items, and be instantaneously alerted when you have been outbid. At the end of the auction, you know exactly what you have won. No more running back and forth to the bidding tables. No long lines at checkout!
Our Winter fundraiser held on February 22 at Rivercrest Golf Club and Preserve raised a record amount of $71,000!
This is a 33% increase over last year’s fantastic event, and it is completely due to the generosity of our auction donors, corporate sponsors and supporters who came out to enjoy the evening.
Guests were treated to a Student Showcase, where representatives from 12 student groups were on hand to show exactly how PCEF funds help them in their mission.
The dinner opened with a quick request for pledges called Fund a Cause. Former PCEF president Joe Little solicited donations from guests in the audience and quickly raised $12,000 on the spot! Fund a Cause proceeds will go towards the Pack a Backpack and Activities Access Programs. Read more about them HERE.
The rest of the night included a buffet dinner and silent and live auction, plus lots of fun mingling with other PCEF supporters.
Phoenixville Community Education Foundation recently celebrated its Fall Gala. We are pleased to announce that this event raised over $20,000 for our Endowment Fund!
Close to 100 advocates gathered to enjoy our Fall Gala – the Phantom Ball. Here is a link to photos of the evening. The Fall Gala supports our Endowment Fund, a separate fund which will be used to ensure that the Education Foundation’s programs are maintained for the long-term.
The Gala also featured a tribute to long-time Education Foundation volunteer, and past president, Joe Little.
State Representative Warren Kampf presented him with a citation and several Board members spoke about his service to the Foundation. Joe has been a part of the Foundation for 10 years.
THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this event a success and to everyone who contributed to the Endowment Fund. You are helping to leave a legacy to the students of Phoenixville.
Sincerely,
Kelly Connors, President
Phoenixville Community Education Foundation
